The company was founded in 1963 with its first storefront set up in Dallas.
Mary Kay herself was brilliant at all levels, from branding, advertising, selling, and also running one of the most successful straight selling businesses ever produced.

Now we have come to the products of Mary Kay.
Mary Kay has a huge portfolio of products. Products are greatly looked into by the business, which teams up with independent medical professionals on security and also on performance.
One of the very reason why Mary Kay is so good is that their products are not evaluated on animals at the Dallas center, which makes the products for the North American market.
Mary Kay products are also distinctively made by Mary Kay Inc researchers uniquely for Mary Kay markets.
The main Mary Kay product areas are the Mary Kay Skin Care, Mary Kay Makeup, Mary Kay Sun and Body, Mary Kay Fragrances, Mary Kay Men’s series, and the Mary Kay Gifts sets.

The Pros - What I like About Mary Kay
Enter your tWhat I found good about Mary Kay is that the company has a quality brand name recognition worldwide.
This is also the reason why the Mary Kay company has profited more than $3 billion per year.
You just look yourself at the diagram below to see how powerful they are.
They have also done everything right in terms of company vision, company social duty and also backing their items.
Any kind of lady would certainly feel great regarding ending up being a Mary Kay IBC.
The Cons - What I Dislike About Mary Kay
Now let’s look at what are the things that are not going right with Mary Kay.
I will start by saying there is always the pressure to buy Mary Kay’s inventory packages.
Many former Mary Kay reps complain about their recruiters or sales directors ‘putting the squeeze’ on them to buy inventory packages of $600, $1800, and up to $4800.
Let's look at 1 of the real example regarding the pressure:
Next, one of the things I found out about Mary Kay is that they keep changing their products constantly.
What you have just bought, and not yet sold, appears to be outdated and the company counts on the fact that you want the latest and the greatest and order the new line of products.
We are aware of the importance of innovations but that could possibly mean you need to spend more on buying their newly launched products.
Also, Mary Kay has strict restrictions on what you can and cannot do when conducting your sales and recruitment.
Although this is your business, you are restricted, to some extent, on how you can go about it.
You sold the products to all of your family members, friends, neighbors and even folks that you don't like, and your pool of potential buyers ran dry.
Eventually, this all ends up to the cruel reality, as you realize you have to find new customers and continue to recruit.
Let’s take a look at this example:
Is Mary Kay A Scam?
My conclusion of this review is that Mary Kay is legit and it is not a scam.
Overall, Mary Kay has a great reputation and I believe the company will continue to do great things.
It’s just how these Mary Kay’s consultants respond to the challenges of making a good income with Mary Kay.
From my own research, I have found out that many of the Mary Kay’s consultants are not able to make a livable income and most are struggling to just break even.
With that said, many consultants quit altogether and are stuck with hundreds of dollars or more, worth of Mary Kay’s products that they are not able to sell.
It's up to you to determine if they are a good deal for you or not.
My Final Thoughts
To make money with Mary Kay, you need to sell products and share the opportunity.
Even with their generous incentive, to make a decent living, you have got to sell a lot of makeup to a lot of customers.
As a Mary Kay consultant, you will also have to pay all of your business expenses.
Your real profits from selling Mary Kay is after deducting all the costs, and it will be less than 50% of your total sales.
After carefully weighing the pros and cons, becoming a Mary Kay Beauty Consultant may or may not be suitable for you.
No business is right for everyone, but what's important is you have other better options.
Anyway, if your goal is to make money with Mary Kay, then I think you should probably examine all your options before making a decision.
